How deep and far apart should green bean seeds be planted?

Postby abodelook on Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:03 am

For most Green Bean Seeds:
1. Plant them 1 inch deep into the ground.
2. When you are planting bush-type green beans, place the seeds at a distance of about 2 inches between each other, and the distance between the rows should be about 18 inches (= 45 cm).
3. In the case of pole-type green beans that grow in a climbing fashion, the seeds should be planted close to a support or a trellis. Typically 3-4 seeds are planted in each stake or support with the spacing between supports/rows of 2-3 feet.
