Hi everyone, first post - hello.

I bought an A-bike from Selfridges in Birmingham yesterday. They let me ride it around the store, weaving in out the flat screen TVs etc. I was sold. The Wife is not happy

So far, so good but I've found the A-bike bag zips snag so I don't think I will use it. I've been practicing folding & unfolding the bike (25s) but have pulled a muscle in my right arm ! I must read the instructions again.

Welcome to the forum. I had some near misses with those flat screen TVs myself!

I agree the supplied bag is very cheap, it could also do with some padding to protect your back, and most importantly it needs to hang horizontally so that it doesn't obstruct your walking! Also a horizontal handle is essential for carrying it in your hand. They told me they agree with these points and will have a better bag soon.

Bagless carrying works for me at the moment. I've done my first commute and all is good- 50 minutes of walking to/from railway stations replaced by 15-20 minutes riding and lots of curious looks...

Hi Neural Connexio,

I have found that in most situations I do not need to
put the bike in a bag. If I need to cover it up I just put my jacket
over it, which hides it very well. This worked well enough to get the bike into the Theatre Royal, in York. I have never had any problems taking it into shops, either.

However, if the bike was really dirty, a bag may be useful.
