Spare Parts

I just bought a A-Bike and am looking to buy some spare tubes.

Can anyone kindly point me in a direction where I could find spare parts and not pay an arm or a leg?

I would be purchasing from the US.

I would like to hear some suggestions on this. I can only get cheap local tubes that inflate to 36lbs, no where near the 90lbs required. The Hong Kong Distributor will not even answer my emails on tube supply!
Looks like the only source is Mayhem in London at 8.25 pounds per tube wow!! Any ideas

I couldn't hear about US distributor here till now.
The delivery cost of tubes would be cheap.

I just bought the pump and a spare tube from Mayhem. The pump is 1/2 price so I picked up a tube as well. The pump is an amazing piece of engineering and am glad I got it.

As a Canadian, it would be great to get a North American distributer. I have to pay $5 for Canadian postal handling, plus 14% taxes.

I bought the bike from someone reselling it.

I just don't want to be stuck minus tubes. (I could repair it but it will only go soooo far.) I guess I could purchase the tubes from Mayhem (and buy one of those sturdy pumps while I am at it). But I know I will be killed with shipping and paying 16 american greenbacks for one tube is not an appealing idea. But what will I do if I can't find them anywhere on this side of the ocean???

The dilemma...(not really..just being dramatic...)

If anyone has another idea, let me know...

Actually, he is the only person working at *his* shop.

This is his final response as of 1/18/07.

Do you get well yet!, Told you a bad new, www.abike-shop.com will step out
the Japan Market , because of one Japan's company got the exclusive of
a-bike in Japan. Another bad news for Japan A-bike fun, the retail price is
around $90,000

But abike-shop will support and maintain all existing customer's A-bike
within warranty period.

Thx for your concern on the recent earthquake in Japan.

I did receive his very short answer the other day (a week ago), saying he will send it "ASAP."
But nothing has happened since then.

I do not expect any quick response from him anymore.
All he has said is just putting off things and making useless excuses.

My concern on this shop now is NOT good customer service either.
Rather I sincerely wish there will be no victim from such poorly maintained shop, at least among the readers here.
Now the shop does not sell its products to Japan, wich is really good to us.
I am really concerned about guys in other areas, such as Australia, U.S.A., Canada, and a lot of countires in Asia.

Remember, the quality of its products is still good. I am not complaining of this, even the cog of mine broke down. What I have been complaining is its poor service to begin with the delay in shipping, no supply of spare parts, false plans to expand its business in Japan...etc. These were well assured by his firm statements at its launch. This is why some of Japanese fan of A-bike bought from there rather than Mayhem. Now that Mayhem sells A-bike much cheaper than it used to, so we should definitely buy from them.

I would suggest the topic on the shop also as sticky so that everyone can notice its danger in buying A-bike from Noble Hall.

I also would like to propose Garry that the forum be to divided into a couple of subforums. As we see, there are too many new topics appearing all the time. Which is really great. The point is...most of them just get a few comments and several more views and they are spoiled. Some of them are really meaningful, but those good posts are to hidden due to other less useless posts. Besides I see a numer of them are just duplicates of other tpoic just mentioned before. This makes things worse. At least, I think "Hi, I am new to here!" "I have a question, Where can I buy it in...?" such kind of posts should be grouped into a general topic such as "self introduction" "FAQ" and so on. (Just a example...)
I am not a maintainer, so I just put my opinion here. We should talk about this seriously to keep this forum running great.
