hauling, saddlebags, backpack

Postby kenwshmt- on Tue Mar 06, 2007 12:35 am

Being on the lighter side of the abike user, I will have some hauling capability before I'm bending the bike.

What is the best way to carry things?
Is the backpack the only really practical way to get to a nearby store, carry the bike in, get a few things, unpack the bag then load it with 'groceries'?

Is there anything other than the seat that can be load bearing?

How forward of the handle bars can weight go? (front basket) or is that completely impractical?

Use a backpack is the safest way to carry things when you are riding an A-bike, I think.

Here is a webpage created by a japanese showing how to use their tiny-wheel bikes to carry things. However, I don't think it can apply to the A-bike.

The a-bike bag is good for carrying things in the compartment for the bag- it kind of hugs your body...
