Forum upgraded due to recent hack attack

Postby garry as guest on Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:59 pm

Latest update - I have now upgraded to the latest forum software for extra security. The look is a bit different, and there might be some settings to sort out. I'm going through it over the weekend and let me know if you find anything that needs attention, thanks!
-Garry

Update on 13th June - It is all cleared up and everything should be back to normal now, apologies for the inconvenience!

I am very sorry to report that the forum has been hacked by spammers and at the moment no one can log in!

However you can post messages as guest

I am working to resolve this as quickly as I can and I apologise for any inconvenience!

Is it not better to take it down so they don't own the forum while
you try to get it back as intended. Now it is open to anything.

I'm fairly sure they cannot. They were so stupid that their initial attack didn't even function as they intended and merely caused us some inconveniece.

I would rather leave the site open for the benefit of all the thousands of readers who are searching information on A-Bike every day.

Hopefully things will be back to normal tomorrow, I will write with an update in the morning.

Good job. Garry :D
New feature shows your forward thinking (maybe.. hehe)

I hope to use [flash] function like 'FoldingForum' if it is possible.

I must admit that I couldn't be bothered to post whilst the affects of the attack were still there, but first time back now, and I shall post a report on my visit to Mayhem last Tuesday.

Nigel, thanks for your report from Mayhem. Sad it takes so long time for the Plus
to get out to the shops. I guess our Dealer here in Sweden don't have the money
to import them unless Mayhem send one for free to him to have as a show piece.

I guess the Plus still would break under my 91kg cause me is 194cm so the strain on the rear tube may be too big.
