Amuro, thank you for the info. This is great. just great.

i like the ugly-cute design. Looks pretty heavy and bulky. Could it be battery powered bike?

Maybe that one would last longer even of heavy weight like me use it.

Would still be trouble buying it cause it use the A-bike folding and style of look so you all throw me out as Moderator. Would be sad.

Amuro, could you find any info on what weight they trust it to stand?

Being so heavy duto the bike itself would be more heavy to carry too but hopefully one can roll it on it's wheels half folded?

Does it cost much to buy? What is the name of the company and what town they are? Wonder how big those wheel are. Looks like they are special made maybe 10" or 12"

I do feel tempted to buy one just to see if it is as sturdy as it looks.
Yes would not be moral to do it but it is the only way to find out what works on that level apart from building one from scratch that is.

So preliminary I want to rebuild a Rollator into a Kick-Rollator.
That would be legal and moral I hope.

Amuro, if you find out more about it please post here.

Interesting development. The wheels in parallel like Strida has them.
Is this bike different enough to not be seen as a copy?

What is the name of bike and the company making them?
On the wall it says something like Sing Wa?? Trade Development Company?

Google don't find a Sing Wang and not a Sing Wah Trade Development Company, So what more names are possible or likely? With Wa...

It's nice to see the imitators actually trying something new for a change!

To be legal this would still have to comply with any relevent trademarks, design rights, copyrights and patents. I can only assume that the design is still an infrignement, but A-Bike could tell us for sure.

Most importantly of all, to be legal it would need to comply with EU safety rules (or the local equivalent for where you live). Many of these cheap Chinese products do not, but of course China also makes most of our everyday goods now so they're capable of it if they want to!

I've found them now if A-bike want to contact them they could
SING WA TRADING DEVELOPMENT CO. SING WA INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIES LTD

Most likely with this address.

International Industrial Centre 2-8 Kwei Tei Street Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong

They have had boots at several Cycle Shows already. Moscow and Italy and now recently Shanghai.

Surprising that no journalists find it interesting to test ride it while seeing it on show or at least ask about specification of how big it is folded and what it weights and such. Are there no journalists who find innovations interesting?

And the legality of such a product could be interesting to write about too?

What we lack now is what product name they have for the bike?

New Cross
Could it be battery powered bike

You could be wright cause it is so non-proportionally thick. If the only purpose is to not break down under the weight it doesn't need to be that thick. Half could do well so maybe it has batteries inside. But we don't know but fun to guess.

Crazy that they don't display the name of the bike.

Apparently, the bike is electrical and heavy and developed by "Tianjin Daming Bicycle Industrial Co., Ltd." Its folding mechanism is in a combination of A-bike and Strida. All these information were published in a Japanese A-bike community by anonymous poster, who was at the show and actually gave a test ride.

The person posted some more deailed photos of the bike and other clones of Strida and A-bike here.

mind you, the above is just a publicly shared temporary server, so things go rather quickly. The post is made from 28th April and 7th May. the post id is

08/05/07(?)11:00 ID:XbPT7Viw No.171
08/05/07(?)11:02 ID:XbPT7Viw No.173

I'm not familiar with the temp system, so i don't know hoe the post it would help though...
