I hope so too. It's dead scary to ride A-bike in rain or even wet road surface...
and Yes, see you at Trafalgar Sq! :D

would it be acceptable for a Strida rider to attend your meeting please?

Personally, I would like to welcome this somebody who's interested in A-bike and even wanting to come to the meeting.

It is still "A-bike meeting", so it's unnecessary to expand to "All foldies are welcome", but the meeting should be open to those want to hear voices of actual A-bike owners and try riding one in my opinion.

However, people without A-bike at this meeting should be aware of the possible risk of evil A-bike owners drag you into nearby Currys Digital or Selfridge's and push you to buy an A-bike on the spot. like "c'mon, it's cheap and it weighs nothing. Don't worry, we'll take care of the striiida real good." just kidding.

Thank you kindly Newcross. We should be back from a holiday by then, so I'll make sure to post beforehand if I will be able to attend.

That's what I was afraid of ;-)

At least I'll be able to see, & hopefully try, an A-bike, & of course, riders can try my Strida if they wish :-)

Thanks all for interesting forum posts, & some super photo's. Some of them could also be handy for Strida riders :-)

I would have loved to come with my A-Bike, especially since I'll be in London this week for the first time in fifteen years, but I have to fly back to Belgium on the 25th... Talk about bad timing...

Hope you all have fun and the meeting is succesful.
Meanwhile, I shall tell the people on World of Spectrum forum about the meeting. I guess some members won't resist meeting Sir Clive.

Hope to see you on another occasion!

thatsme, you got home much earlier than most of us. :D I think Garry would be the last one to get home that's 4hours trip from London!!

Anyway it was good. real good. We had a nice weather and most importantly we had many people turned up in the end!! :D

heee, I enjoyed too much, now I'm soooo tired. I'll come back here tomorrow.

(Most of us had A-bike, and some were on foot, and some were on his kick board. That was a bit difficult to move around together... forgive me for my bad inprovised plan guys...)

nah, you have been a perfect leader.
yeah i get home first, but i continued my drinking session later on, with other friends in my village.
anyway, we should do again, this time, we bring our own drink or whatever, and more people should join in, before the summer goes away, wait a second, summer never came, oh well, we dont need summer to meet up do we?

anyway, the more people join in the more impact will be for peole looking at us.
they may think the after all we are normal!!!

i think new cross will deal with that.
i was impressed about how he modified his abike, to my standard he is a genius.
newcross put your abike picture on here to show to all what you did.
i need to sand the plastic how you told me, so that my handle wont be as stiff as it is at the moment.
