Hi,

As James said, tyre pressure does affect the performance of an A-bike very much, esspecially when you're climbing an incline. So every user has to inflate the tyres of their A-bike weekly to keep them in the correct pressure of 90psi.
Besides, the seat height also affects the effectiveness of your padelling. I think you can improve the situation by adjusting the seat height to give you a full leg extension.

Hi there,

Have you checked if the tyres are inflated to their correct tyre pressure of 90PSI?

All the best

Difficult Riding

Post by danturner99 on Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:35 pm

Hi,

I got an A-bike for my birthday a few days ago so I can ride into uni and back every day.
I took it out for the first time this morning to go to the local cycling shop to pick up lights and hi vis stuff but i never made it because it was so hard to ride.

I was expecting it to be a bit tricky at first but only with balance, after about 1/2 a mile i had to get off and walk because my legs were absolutely dead! I am not sure if its cuz I am really unfit compared to other A-bike users (i dont think so though) or if i have a dodgy bike or if i have the wrong technique.

Any tips for easy riding??
