Hi there, i'm from singapore. The A-bike caught my eye when i was searching for folding bikes... anyway the guy in the above video is comparing two fake A-bike that his company made. The earlier and the later version. He said the they had improved join and the "stem" of the stucture. Now thicker and stronger. :shock:

he recomended to buy the newer version as its more stable and comfortable. there's even the "Black KingKong" version.

I must say i'm quite impressed by the Fake A-bike manufacturer, at least they been trying harder to improved and making the "Fake" look and ride better... :roll:

He describes how the fake design is less rigid and all the
compromised with quality and that it is less good at folding.

the handlebar more flexy etc. Even if I don't get a word of what he says
I like that he wants to share his experiences. Such are appreciated.

What we need is confirmation on the chief designers assertion that
they tested solid tires and found out that solid tires stressed the parts
in the bike too much shorten the life of it.

So those who bought the fake 8" solid should be encouraged to report
on forums how it held up to riding frequently.

Now that I know that Carryme is too small for me to ride.
My knees will hit the handle bar every time and that is not
safe in traffic or downhill cause me could easily loose balance
if I hit steering hard jolting me out of course.

I almost want to buy a 8 wheel fake a-bike just to find out for how long
it last putting 92 kg strain on it. I managed to go down three kg.

What I wonder is the slant of the Head stem. Doesn't it slant too much?

Isn't the A-bike also hard to learn to keep a straight course on?
A bit like Strida?

Someone in Taiwan has taken some photos comparing a 6" wheels A-bike and a 8" wheels A-bike... although both of them are imitations.

About the 8" wheels...
As i said in other post
"The fake, 8 inches, must be reasonable. Have larger wheels allowing to achieve greater speed. You can put some largest Crank arms since the distance to the ground is higher.
The problem may be unfolding in the bike, because the wheels are larger, results in a larger space occupied.

The solid rubber tire, I think it is not bad, of course there is a bigger stress in the frame but i think it can support.

Ever seen one fake a-bike of 8 inches? If yes, how are they? Better to ride then a original a-bike.
If you have one fake 8" a-bike, can you put a video riding the bike and folding and unfolding.
Do you know where i can buy in Europe one fake 8" a-bike?
Has Mr. Sinclair thinking on adapting this idea to is A-Bike?

Having bigger wheels, will this one keep functioning better than the other copies? Less stress due to the built in springy or bounce-ability of the bigger pneumatic tire?

If Sir Clive Sinclair copied this idea for the A-Bike II I wonder if the producer would try to get it stopped :?:

Be one in the eye for the clone makers if he copied theirs :!:

Hell if you look closely they have even called it an A-Bike.

I would buy an official A-Bike with larger wheels but obviously changes have to be made to the frame too. Having said that, you will spend more time on the bike than carrying it.

Wow!

I like the idea of 8inch A-bike, but I can see it's a long way to go to make it properly. I personally wouldn't ride this copy bike... I bet the plastic part which holds the wheels lose strength and stability as it's longer, and the copy cannot even fold handle bar completely as the steering tube cannot be straightened (wheels knock each other and cannot be in right position.) :roll:
