According to Binch's photos of what the "scratching" noise appear to be from the wheels, mine is photo #1. It's the area where that brake cable is attached to the band.
It would seem that bending it a little would solve the problem - well, I did that, but as soon as I hit the brakes it goes back to a similar position and starts scratching.
The other problem with this is that you can only bend it so much. May be there is a better way to bend it, more from the middle of that ring than the end where the brake cable is attached? I'll try it soon, but I think I have to figure out a way for the brake cable to pull up more away from the wheel so that it doesn't pull the scratching so close to it.
