Hi, as far as I understand, the loose part is a quick release lever and its base.
Unless the GF palastic is damaged, fixing it is straight forward. Only tool you need is a
3mm Hex key (aka. Allen key), and remove the quick release lever, snap the base to where it should be, then put back the lever again. no funny business.
If this isn't your case, please upload some pics.
