And concerning your question, Oleg, there was no differences between tubes. Only one thing - I have noticed that when I rided it, the rear tube had some noise... like crya-crya... kryahtenie

Currently I'm waiting for a new a-bike to arrive. A-bike.co.uk sent it to me free of charge.... because I couldn't fix my one.

So, the a-bike service is good one. I like the way they act, and the way they respond to problems. Of course, there are some pros... but who doesn't have them :)

Actually, I think my new working a-bike will arrive tomorrow. Hoorraay!!

Some time ago you said that want to send the letters to a-bike support with yours problem. Is it any answer? One more question: before cracking the plastic lock on rear tube was soft or hard for opening/closing in general and vs front tube?

And question to all: how often do you fit the plastic locks on a-bike tubes?

Just a quick post.

I only have a photo for the quick release base on the front tube, but I think the rear one has almost identical structure.

If you can manage to pull the edge of [color=red][b]A[/b][/color] and [color=red][b]A'[/b] [/color](see pic) a little to the outwards, they can catch the part [color=red][b]B[/b][/color] (see pic) better and will hold the base in position. The bond between these parts is supporsed to be quite tight (at least for mine. it was hard to remove and snap it back).

P.S. The soft brake is matter of personal preference, but when we adjust them as instruction manual, usually they can achieve decent stopping power. :wink:

The thing that fixes the lock not to go upside... is not persist. I have sent e-mail to a-bike support. Will wait for their reply :(

My a-bike is only 2 weeks old. And I have rided it only 5 times :(((

hmm... I have done it yesterday evening. Everything seemed to be ok, then in the morning as usual i rided my a-bike, but have seen that something is not ok - and yes ... this thing once again lost its place ;(

Today I will try to fix it one more time...

I'm a little bit dissapointed :( Maybe my hands are not growing from the right place... on the other hand - my a-bike is only 2 weeks ... and it already has a problem - first was with the very soft brake, the second one now... It's not good

I agree with newcross. I think that the riding at the awful Moscow paving is the reason of screw reversing.

Hi, as far as I understand, the loose part is a quick release lever and its base.

Unless the GF palastic is damaged, fixing it is straight forward. Only tool you need is a [b][color=red]3mm Hex key[/color][/b] (aka. Allen key), and remove the quick release lever, snap the base to where it should be, then put back the lever again. no funny business. :wink:

Hi Guys!

Today, when I was riding my A-bike, I've heard some strange sound under my saddle. What I have seen that the thing that fixes the saddle and the rear tube (the plastic none that we have to open/close when we construct/deconstruct the a-bike) is not in its place - it lost it's position and now opening/closing of the fixing mechanism doesn't work. From what I see it's not hard to fix to it manually - I need to use the specific screw, unscrew it then screw it again....

But maybe there is some specific that I don't know. Please advice
